Tokio Hotel Bio

I recently became interested in the band Tokio Hotel. After realinzing how good there are i thought that you guys might want to learn a little more about them too.

Tokio Hotel is a highly successful German Pop, Emo, Metal band, formed in 2001 in Magdeburg, Germany. Identical twin brothers, Bill Kaulitz (b. September 1, 1989) and Tom Kaulitz (born 10 minutes before his brother) performed in small shows and talent shows as children. They later met schoolmates, Gustav Schäfer(Drums) and Georg Listing(Bass) and their similar tastes in music led them to create a band called Devilish. They played small shows since 2001 and by 2003, were approached by a music executive, Peter Hoffman. They were signed to the Universal music label in Hamburg, Germany and changed their name to Tokio Hotel (Tokio for the city of Tokyo, and "Hotel" because they toured and slept in hotels a lot). Tokio Hotel's first single "Durch den Monsun" (Through the Monsoon) quickly gained popularity after its release, appearing on the German music charts at #15 on August 20th and reaching #1 on August 26th 2005; it reached #1 on the Austrian music charts as well. Their second single was "Schrei" (Scream), which climbed to #5 of the German charts. They released their debut album Schrei on the 19th September of 2005; lead singer Bill Kaulitz, wrote the majority of the songs. In early 2006, their third single "Rette mich" (Rescue Me) was released, and it reached #1 as well. Their first single from "Zimmer 483" (their second album) called "Übers Ende Der Welt" (About the End of the World) was released January 26th, 2007. It has also reached #1. The "Zimmer 483" album was released on February 23rd, 2007. A deluxe addition of the album is available as well.

The "Zimmer 483" tour was supposed to start in March, but was delayed by two weeks because the band members wished to use a new stage. However, all Tokio Hotel tickets bought for the tour are still valid.

More about the members:

He voiced the role of Arthur in the German version of the film, Arthur and the Minimoys.

3OH!3 Tour Dates

3OH!3 has revealed their summer tour dates, to keep the Boulder, Colorado-based electro duo on the road through the summer. First they will have a co-headlining show on "The Alternative Press Tour 2009," planned to be kicked off on March 20th with an already-sold-out show at Dallas Texas' House of Blues. 3OH!3 – who are currently on the cover of Alternative Press' April issue – will be joined on the tour by other great bands, which includeThe Maine, Family Force 5, Hit The Lights, and A Rocket To The Moon.

The duo – who just wrapped a tour in Europe supporting Katy Perry – will hit Austin, Texas for a performance at the annual South By Southwest extravaganza, planned for March 19th at Stubb's Bar-B-Q. Next, 3OH!3 will be among the line-up appearing at The Bamboozle 2009. The annual festival – which will be headlined by the newly reunited No Doubt – is set to rock the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey on May 3rd.
3OH!3 finding time in their busy schedule to travel south of the border to Cancun, Mexico, will tape a performance and appearance for the next season of MTV's blockbuster reality series, The Real World (to premiere later this year) – 3OH!3 will also be contributing the theme song. 3OH!3 will then make their way to Panama City to perform on MTV's annual Spring Break special with Lil Wayne, The All American Rejects, Black Eyed Peas, and Flo Rida.

Upon the Tour 2009's conclusion, 3OH!3 will hit the road again, this time as headline act on the Vans Warped Tour 2009!!! This marks the second consecutive Vans Warped Tour for 3OH!3, whose explosive live set was unquestionably among the 2008 festival's biggest crowd-pleasers.

Everyone knows the Ramones! Wellllll, one of the Ramones, "Marky Ramone" and his solo band got a lot more than they expected when they traveled south of the border to play for a few of their Mexican fans last weekend.
Here is as on Marky's Myspace blog: "Everyone's ok, but things got way over the top concerning the safety of the band and out of hand for Marky and The Blitzkrieg at Saturday night's show in Mexico. The van that was taking the band back to the hotel was besieged(attacked) by fans resulting in an injury to one of the touring party that was protecting the exiting band. The security at the venue did their best, but were overwhelmed by the numbers and intensity of the situation. They had never had to deal with anything like that before. While trying to leave the venue, there was a pile up at the exit door as fans rushed to Marky on his attempted exit. Surrounded by over zealous fans pounding on the windows of the band van, cracking the windshield, one fan clinging to the side of the vehicle was thrown into on coming traffic. He was ok as later he and a friend eventually caught up with the van in a taxi shouting and waving at their hero. Sunday's show was meant to be in a larger venue, in a dangerous area with only the same amount of security as was not able to handle the scene at Saturday's show. In the interests of everyone's safety and well being, it has been decided that Sunday's show in Mexico City will not go forward.
Marky apologies to all his fans in Mexico City and says he's really enjoyed everything about the shows except the idea of anyone getting hurt. He promises to come back with 'The Blitzkrieg' soon under safe circumstances for everyone involved.

Marky will be coming back to Mexico to play a huge festival in May, which will have adequate security, that show will not be cancelled. The name and venue of the 20,000 seat capacity festival will be posted on Marky's Myspace soon.
